A fun rhyming story bursting with mischief, magic and a heart warming twist, from the author of the beloved Magic Island series - perfect for sharing at bedtime... or anytime!
I bought this book with my eight year old grandson in mind.
It was the most imaginative of tales, with surprise disappearances, witches and wizards, a dragon, a jester and a kidnapped king, amongst others, inhabiting strange and far-off lands. I enjoyed following the adventures of Megan and Stefan who were spirited away to the Magic Islands and was amused by the responses of those left behind on the school outing.
The novel was a fun read with outrageous names to wrestle with! I would recommend it to any adventurous child.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, although aimed at children, is an easy to read book for adults too.
Keep up the fantastic work Irene.

As a teacher for nearly forty years Irene Edwards book is a must read for older primary school pupils.
